Terms of Use
Last updated: October 24, 2026
1. Acceptance
By using TFE Ethical Cybersecurity Planner (the "App"), operated by Nicholas D. West Tech LLC, you agree to these Terms and to ourPrivacy Policy. If you are under 18, a parent, guardian or school must agree for you, and you may only use the App with their permission.
2. What the App is
The App is an educational planning tool. It teaches the five-phase security-evaluation workflow usingsimulated data only, and produces a written report prompt from your notes. It does not scan, test, or connect to any network, and it does not include or connect to any AI service.
3. Ethical use
The App exists to teach people how to protect systems. By using it you agree that:
- Real security testing is done only with written permission from the system's owner and within a defined scope.
- You will not use anything you learn here to access, probe, or interfere with a computer, network, or account you are not authorized to test. Doing so is illegal in most places, including under the U.S. Computer Fraud and Abuse Act.
- If you discover a real weakness, you will report it privately to the people who can fix it (responsible disclosure).
4. Accounts and demo mode
You may use the App as a guest or in demo mode without giving any personal information. If you create an account, give accurate information, keep your password private, and tell us if you think someone else is using it. Accounts for children under 13 must be created or approved by a parent, guardian or school.
5. Your content
Everything you write in the App belongs to you. You give us only the permission we need to store it and show it back to you. You are responsible for what you write: do not include personal information about yourself or others, real network details of any organization, or anything hateful, threatening, or otherwise inappropriate for school.
6. Using AI tools
When you paste a prompt into an AI tool, that tool's own terms apply. We do not control its output and do not promise that any AI will write your report correctly. Check what it produces against your notes. That is part of the learning.
7. Acceptable use
Do not try to break the App, access other people's notes, overload our servers, or use the App for anything illegal. Teachers may remove content that is not appropriate for school.
8. Our content
The App, its design, text, lesson content and code, and the Tech for Everyone name and logo are owned by Nicholas D. West Tech LLC and protected by copyright and trademark law. You may use them only inside the App. Sample data, including "Harbor Light Academy" and all addresses, is fictional.
9. Availability and changes
We may change, pause or stop the App or any feature at any time. We may update these Terms; continuing to use the App after a change means you accept it. We will keep the date at the top current.
10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The App is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. It is a teaching aid, not professional security advice. To the fullest extent the law allows, Nicholas D. West Tech LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost data, arising from use of the App. Download your report prompt regularly to keep your own copy.
11. Termination
We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms. You may delete your notes and account at any time from the Account panel.
